How to translate a content?

You need to translate an asset. You can select several options!

CAREFUL: Once you open your document, the platform assumes that changes have been made, causing your country flag to appear. In this case, the "Translate" button will be disabled, and you can only translate using the "Myself" mode.

Translate with Deepl/Google

First, select the asset you want to translate. Then, click on the 3-dot button and choose "Translate."

Note: You can select multiple assets by choosing all the ones you want to translate and then clicking the 3-dot button at the top.

Next, choose the languages you want to translate to, and select the translation tool you wish to use. Click, and it's done!

Afterward, check and adjust the text if necessary (e.g., if the translated text is longer, you might need to slightly adjust the font size).

If your text layers have different styles within the same layer, you can select the option 'Deepl (with style)' to preserve as much styling as possible from the original asset.

Translate using Excel to allow local teams to use the perfect wording, then translate with one click

Follow the same steps as above, but instead of selecting a translation tool, choose Excel.

Click on "Download File." The Excel file you download is the one you need to send to your translators for them to translate into their respective languages. They will fill in the column corresponding to their language.
For example, in the image below, the French translation should be entered in column G. Be sure to keep all columns intact.

Once the Excel file is completed with the translated text, select the asset, choose "Translate," then select "Translate with Excel" and upload the translated Excel file. Done!

Note

Be careful when translating into languages with specific characters (Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, etc.). Make sure to use a font that is compatible with those languages (e.g., Arial is compatible with most languages).

-Once an asset is opened or translated, any modifications made to the original global master will not be reflected in your area. This is to prevent any disruptions to your existing work. However, you can continue making changes in your area as needed. If you need access to the updated global asset version, you will need to request global team a duplication and validation of their final version.
