# Is it possible to rework a sound (cutting out background music, speeding up/slowing down, etc.)?

You can rework a soundtrack to improve the quality of your video:
* **Cut a soundtrack**: you can select only part of the soundtrack by using the cut function (photo below) to select only the part that interests you.

* **Acceleration and deceleration of the sound: **it is possible to speed up or slow down the sound by using the ‘speed’ option in the ‘cut’ function, which raises or lowers the tempo (photo above).
