# How can animations and fades be applied to objects/texts ?


* Click on the timeline at the bottom

* Choose the layer you want to animate
* Click on the diamond "+" icon to the right of the layer title in the timeline

* Choose your desired animation from the menu on the right. (opening or closing animation)

* According to the different possibilities

* The animation will appear on the timeline.

* You can then simply adjust its duration directly on the timeline.
